What is P-TECH
Pathways in Technology through Early College High School.
An open-enrollment program that creates workforce pathways aligned with high-demand, high-wage fields throughout the state. Students enrolled in the P-TECH program work toward an associate degree while gaining hands-on work experience.

The mission of the P-TECH at Cedar Ridge is to equip students with both academic knowledge and the professional skills required to enter into a high demand, high wage medical career field and become a productive member in society.

P-TECH Implementation Plan
- School Within a School (SWS) Model
- Focused Pathway : Health Science
- Pending Approval LVN Nursing program (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and the State Board of Nursing)
- Proposed program complete summer after HS graduation but could extend to Fall of 2028 based upon individual student progress
- Offers Level 2 Certificate and/or Associates of Applied Science Degree
- Will require summers and passed entry level test into program
- Small Cohort size- Must start in 9th grade

Program Requirements
- A complete declaration packet, including one Teacher, one Counselor & one Administrator/Community Leader Recommendation
- Be prepared for a rigorous course of study
- College-level maturity & behavior expected
- Pass the TSI. * * Students will not have time in their schedule for participation in band, sports or activity that would interfere with their high school and college schedule

*Students are eligible for transportation services if they reside in District and more than 2 miles from the Cedar Ridge High School. Bus stop distance from home is not guaranteed.
